The Independent Review of Intellectual Property, headed up Professor Hargreaves on behalf of the coalition government, has now closed its deadline for submissions.
The Review sought to ascertain whether or not copyright is fit for the digital age – and Hargreaves is expected to report back at some point this April. It aims to identify potential barriers to growth within the IP framework, which consists of the rules and regulations covering how IP is created, used and protected in the UK.
BASCA made a number of joint submissions, putting its name to the UK Music, Music Publishers Association and PRS For Music evidence-driven reports.
You can access the MPA-BASCA submission here.
