Fundraising Concert: Help raise money for Mocoa, the Colombian town destroyed by a landslide in April this year, while listening to the sound of beautiful music from Latin and South America.

Music Research Series: Integrating sound design into opera composition.

In this talk, PhD student ELFYN JONES seeks to find methodologies for the integration of sound design practice into the compositional process of opera

Evening Concert by The Kretuzer Quartet 

Following on from their composition workshops during the day, The Kreutzer Quartet, with clarinettist Linda Merrick give this free evening concert, including two world premieres, with music by Michael Finnissy, David Matthews, Rosalind Page, Paul Pellay and Hafliði Hallgrímsson.

Masters in Ethnographic Music Film Screenings

All are welcome to attend an afternoon of screenings of short ethnographic films on a diverse array of music topics – including footage of events in London, Cairo and Berlin – by masters students in the Music Department. The screenings will be followed by a short Q&A with the directors.
