** It is with much regret that, due to illness, Richard Bellis is having to cancel this evening’s film and TV composer Masterclass. Richard was very much looking forward to the event and we hope to reschedule soon. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we will be processing any refunds shortly. **

Emmy award-winning composer Richard Bellis returns with his new presentation,’The Director/Composer Relationship: Friendship Required’.

Sharing his insights into the world of composing for film and TV, the session will explore the working relationship between composers and directors. There are many interviews with ‘A-List’ directors and composers but what if you and your director are not on the A-list yet? How do you prepare the filmmaker to like your music? Without the same resources, either financial or schedule-wise, the relationship becomes even more important and often more complex.

About Richard Bellis

Richard has served on the faculty of the University of Southern California’s Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television course and UCLA Extension’s Film Scoring Certificate program. Composing credits include Emmy award-winning score for Stephen King’s ‘IT’ and nominated score for HBO’s ‘Doublecrossed’, starring Dennis Hopper.
