The Wheatsheaf

Come and meet fellow jazz composers, arrangers and songwriters for an evening of networking and informal discussion in central London.

Returning for the third time this year, this free event is a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the newly appointed BASCA Jazz Committee as they provide tips and advice around how to manage a career as a composer.

Issie Barratt, BASCA Board member and Chair of the Jazz Committee, will be leading the evening’s discussion, speaking about the Jazz Committee’s plans for the future and BASCA’s relationship with the European Composer & Songwriter Alliance (ECSA), as well as finding out what issues are affecting you as a composer in today’s ever-changing industry.

BASCA Jazz Committee members Josephine Davies will be hosting a discussion on the topic of ‘Making Something from Nothing – getting started on a composition’, using her own experiences and strategies as a composer. Ed Puddick will be leading a discussion about future BASCA Jazz events, bringing together ideas from the committee and BASCA members.

The event is free to attend and guests are welcome, but you must RSVP HERE to guarantee entry.
